Well, my dear husband had shoulder surgery today. I haven't been to sleep yet. and I am exhausted. He has been sleeping all day. He gets meds every 4 hours and every 6 hours. Goodness, I have to set alrarms to get up in the middle of the night to give him his pills. So instead of crafting, I am playing nurse.
Soon, I promise I will do a craft or two.

Rainy day here in Houston
Well, weather wasn't the greatest today. No projects done. Bummer. I did however open a bunch of my new cartridges and got all my rewards points out to register. Dang hope they have some good rewards soon, I'm getting up there.
I am still on the hunt for a new Expression. Problem being that I don't want cartridges that I already have and since I have 168 I believe was the total, I have to go with an exclusive expression. However most of them have cartridges I already have as well. I really want Pink Journey, but I just refuse to pay that much for a machine for a partial cartridge and cartridges I already own. So if you see any awesome deals here in Houston, let me know.
I have also been saving all the plastic clam shells that the cartridges come in. Gotta come up with a good recycle project for those.
Really want to play with my toys, but guess that will have to wait a couple more days.
Hope you guys all stay warm and dry.
Happy Cricuting.

Let's get this Blog up and running this year.
Life has sure been exciting lately, but I need to get this blog off the ground and running. So, here we go.
I have been ordering cartridges like crazy lately with all these great sales. I got the Disney Classics so I now can do my favorite character, Jiminy Cricket.
Goodness, I really need to count and see how many I have. I think 165 to 170 but I could be wrong. I got the cricut cake mini at Christmas. Still unopened in the box. I have been trying to get an imagine, but since the 4 they have sent me haven't worked Provo craft told me to send it to them and they'll send me one that works. Fingers crossed. I also got a YUDU Thanksgiving day. Still have yet to try a shirt. Maybe I will do it tomorrow and try a video. That's just a scary thought.
I am hosting a local SWARM here in Houston, February 19, 2011. Looks like it could be a full house. We'll see. I'm really excited about my SWARMS this year. I have some great ideas and hoping to make them even more fun for the cricuteers.

Provo craft is doing a huge event in Frisco, March 18, 19 and 20th. The Stampede. I will be going. Hoping it will be as much fun as everyone expects.
A bunch of my Houston SWARMing buddies are going. It will be fun, getting to play all day without worrying about hosting the event.
So stay tuned. We'll be getting this show off the ground starting tomorrow. If nothing else, I'll do a project and post it.

Sandblasting
These are some granite tiles I sandblasted for a Military Ball here in Houston next weekend. Still have one I'm working on, but these are all hand cut then sandblasted by me. Sure wish I could have used my Cricut or my Make the Cut software. Bummer. Anyway, they are delivered and hopefully will bring them lots of money. God Bless America!!

Creating Celtic Cage Earrings Chain Maille
Well, I spent most of the day with a great friend and we tried to figure out the pattern for these earrings. After about 2 1/2 hours later we each had a pair. I couldn't get a good picture of the pair but I did get one so imagine a pair of them. Now that we have the design figured out we could probably get the time down by a bit. We had to cut some jump rings and do a bit of adjusting. But boy they are nice. I see a lot of possibilities with this pattern. Hope you like them.

I'm gonna be Demoing the Cricut
Hi everyone,
Exciting news!!!. I have taken a job demoing the cricut at The Micheal's at Willowbrook. I will be flying out Friday for training. It all came about so quickly. One of my meetup group ladies posted and I called and got interviewed right there and then. Had my second interview last night via phone. I got a call today that they were extending me an offer and i filled out all the paperwork and now have a job demoing the Cricut machine every Sunday except Mother's day at the Micheal's at Willowbrook. From May thru June.
I'm very excited.
More when I know more.

I didn't fall off the face of the earth.
I'm back. I didn't fall off the face of the earth. I know it may seem like it. I had a very rough February. Put my back out, held a SWARM, wheels stolen from my Tahoe, and I was also host a meeting for our lampworking group at my house 32 people. March has been pretty good so far. Thank goodness. I got a scholarship to the Gathering (a lampworking event) I'm preparing for our Annual Hottie"s Auction (lampworking group) I am the President, I took a kiln glass class, I've been sandblasting and making beads. Plus just regular everyday life. So I am SWAMPED needless to say. I have been trying to get a weekend SWARM set up. A little harder then that sounds. Working on another day SWARM. I have been using my expression though, does that count for scrapbooking? I thought not. Dang!!!
I'm trying, but here are some of the things I have created this last couple weeks. The Window with the pink sheet behind it is some of my sandblasting. That was what I used my cricut on. I used Blackletter for the font. The others are from a glass class I took here in Houston at Hot Glass Houston.
hope you enjoy the pictures.

Hope you like the pictures
